BLP observes a day of respect for non-discrimination, justice and the protection of all
On May 17, we join in celebrating the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia with the central message of justice and protection for all people, determining ways to advance the 2030 Agenda for the fulfillment of the 17 Objectives of Sustainable Development approved by the United Nations. BLP considers inclusion and diversity as fundamental elements for innovation, which has characterized the firm for 16 years.
In 2017, we were the only law firm in Costa Rica to sign the San José Declaration: 10 principles against discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and the promotion of the Human Rights of LGBTI people, representing another step forward in our commitment to sustainable development and the protection of human rights.
Likewise, we have formed a Commission for the Labor Integration of LGTBI people to promote the inclusion and non-discrimination of the members of this population, which through training and workshops within all areas of the firm promotes respect for the rights of human beings in this sector.
BLP utilizes this date to advance diversity and respect for the human rights of all.
