BLP welcomes Cynthia Sequeira as Special Counsel


As part of our regional growth strategy and responding to the needs of the local market, BLP has appointed Cynthia Sequeira as Special Counsel at BLP in Guatemala, where she will share her expertise in the practice areas of Business Law, Labor & Employment, and Intellectual Property.

Cynthia’s entrance is part of the continuous strengthening of BLP, which demonstrates our regional commitment to provide our clients with the best quality legal services.

On the incorporation of Cynthia to the team, Partner Luis F. Ruiz commented, “She is a very talented lawyer. Cynthia holds a master’s degree in Corporate Law and International Law from the Rafael Landívar University of Guatemala/Universidad Pontificia de Comillas Madrid Spain, obtained in 2012. She graduated with honors as an Attorney in 1994, winning the Decanatura prize and a prize for the best thesis from the Rafael Landívar University’s Law School.

In her more than 20 years of experience, she has provided advice to national and foreign companies on labor issues, franchises, due diligence, and mergers and acquisitions. Cynthia also has an active practice in Education law, advising the most prestigious study centers in Guatemala.
