BLP lawyers have participated in the drafting of proposals that served as the basis for the laws related to insurance implementation under CAFTA-DR in Costa Rica, including the Insurance Market Regulatory Law-Law No. 8653 and the Insurance Contracts Law No. 8956, as well as legislative proposals in El Salvador and Honduras. For several years, our Firm has participated in the activities organized by the Inter-American Federation of Insurance Companies (FIDES) and in semiannual conferences of insurers in Central America, Panama and the Caribbean, in which our specialists have been invited as speakers.
