Jorge has more than 10 years of experience in the legal profession, specializing in Tax practice.
His expertise extends to the structuring of tax accounting strategies and the analysis of audit risks, as well as transfer pricing and international taxation. He represents a wide variety of clients from start-ups to multinational enterprises. He is adept at litigating tax matters.
After serving as a partner at Obregón Castro & Asociados for three years, he joined the BLP team as an Associate in 2014.
Jorge graduated in Law from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua in 2006. He went on to earn master’s degrees in three areas of study, including Business Law in 2012 and Tax Law in 2013, both from the University for International Cooperation; and Taxation and International Taxation from the CTO Business Excellence School, endorsed by the Catholic University of Murcia in 2017.
He also obtained specialties in Transfer Pricing in 2015 and Tax Control of Financial Institutions and Operations in 2017, both at the Inter-American Center of Tax Administration (CIAT).
He is the author of several articles on tax issues as well as a reference work entitled, “Compendium of Administrative Tax Judgments 2007-2015”.
Jorge is based in Managua, Nicaragua.
