BLP awarded as Best National Firm for Pro Bono in Latin America and Central America Law Firm of the Year
The IFLR Women in Business Law Awards ceremony was held today at Essex House in New York, where the hemisphere’s best legal talent gathered to recognize the lawyers and firms that are benchmarks for the legal practice in America.
BLP was awarded as “Best National Firm for Pro Bono in Latin America”, and “Central America Law Firm of the Year”, recognizing the firm’s active participation in contributing to the solution of society’s problems.
Some of our efforts have resulted in:
Over 4,000 pro bono hours per year from our attorneys
Pro bono work equivalent to $350,000 of billable hours
More than 70 NGOs benefiting from our pro bono work
In addition to receiving two awards, BLP was nominated in 6 categories, being the most nominated firm in Central America, highlighted by individual recognition for our partner Vivian Liberman, as the only lawyer in Latin America nominated in the category of “Best in Banking & Finance,” recognizing Vivian’s individual trajectory and her leadership in the practice of Banking and Finance in the region.
By means of Sustainability by BLP, a program of active and responsible participation in solving problems of our society, BLP promotes both gender equality and pro bono work, contributing to the sustainable development of the region.
