Shermine is a BLP Senior Associate in the San Jose office. She specializes in the practice areas of Free Trade Zones and International Trade.

With extensive experience advising importing and exporting companies, she has also served as assistant to the Auxiliaries of the Customs Public Function in matters of Customs and International Trade. She also counsels clients on the presentation of different procedures before the National Customs Service, ensuring compliance with customs and non-tax tributary obligations.

She has successfully defended in administrative sanctioning proceedings initiated against Auxiliaries of the Customs Public Function and has provided support in various regularization processes initiated by the Costa Rica´s General Directorate of Customs.

Prior to joining the BLP team as an associate in 2019, she was a legal advisor in customs law for DHL in Heredia, Costa Rica.
